Kerkenraadsbank in the church of Middelbert, in the province of Groningen, the Netherlands. Originally late-Romanesque church, the oldest part being the eastern bays. The interior is beautifully furnished with a pulpit with staircase and baptismal fence from 1743, and four supper benches with carved attachments. The sofas are painted ochre yellow with black piping. Unique are the twill shaped candle niches with consecrated crosses that are recessed in the walls.
