Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Chinoiserie Flowers in Tangerine Twist with Butterfly’ by Lemon Dessin : Monika Lechner

This work centres on a blossoming branch with large red flowers, fresh green leaves and a butterfly that seems to float gently through the image. The flower shapes are reminiscent of peonies or camellias and form a strong contrast with the bright background. The branch winds its way naturally through the composition, giving the image a sense of both tranquillity and liveliness.

The inspiration for this work comes from the world of botanical illustrations and historical decorative art. Lemon Dessin : Monika Lechner

Eindhoven, Netherlands

Nature and animals are at the heart of my work. I create my illustrations using classical drawing and painting techniques, ranging from watercolor to oil paint and wax crayon.

Originally, I am from Austria, where I trained as a textile - and graphic designer. I've been living in the Netherlands for over twenty years now, where I also draw inspiration from cultural heritage and history.
