About "Chinese Zodiac, Chinese Astrology"

About the artwork

Chinese astrology is based on traditional astronomy and calendars. In contrast to the Western form, Chinese astrology does not calculate the positions of the sun, moon and planets at the time of birth, which means that it is not true astrology in the European sense, but is more akin to numerological techniques. Sometimes a resemblance is sought between the 12 'constellations' of the West and the 12 traditional animal signs of Chinese astrology, but they do not coincide entirely. Moreover, the Western form involves a division of the year into 12 signs, while with the Chinese each year is assigned a sign, starting from the Chinese New Year. The 12 animal characters (the "twelve earth branches") are also linked to the 5 elements (wood, fire, earth, metal and water) and the Yin and Yang principle.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
