Cherry blossoms in a glass vase by Thea

This artwork depicts a hushed and poetic scene: fragile cherry blossoms, carefully arranged in a transparent glass vase, resting on a wooden table. The background is soft pink, subtly contrasting with the delicate petals, enhancing the atmosphere of tranquillity, tenderness and transience.

Cherry blossoms - or sakura - are admired worldwide for their short but enchanting flowering period. In this composition, they seem just picked, still full of life and promise, captured in a moment of pure simplicity. The wooden table adds an earthy warmth, while the glass of the vase provides a playful reflection of light and colour.

The choice of a pink background is no accident. This colour emphasises the softness of the blossoms and evokes a sense of spring, love and inner peace. The whole image exudes Japanese aesthetics: an appreciation of the small, the temporary, and the beautiful in the everyday.

This artwork invites the viewer to slow down. It asks to dwell on the fleeting nature of beauty and the importance of attention to detail. In a world that often races by too quickly, this image offers a moment of contemplation and balance.

Perfect for on the wall in a quiet space such as a living room, bedroom or reading corner, where it can serve as a daily reminder of the power of simplicity and the beauty of the now.
