Kasteel Neercanne or Château Neercanne, formerly castle Agimont, is a seventeenth-century baroque castle in the Jeker valley in the southwestern Dutch municipality of Maastricht.
Neercanne is located on the Cannerweg, still just on Dutch territory, near the Belgian-Limburg village of Kanne. Neercanne is the only terraced castle in the Netherlands, built on a landscaped terrace against the slope of the Cannerberg mountain. The reconstructed baroque garden is also terraced. The castle is home to a renowned restaurant, Château Neercanne.
I like to come there to paint. Located in the Jeker valley, the castle is beautiful in terms of nature, viticulture and where the former ENCI is not far away.
