A glimpse of a decayed and abandoned fortress in Belgium.
This fortress, called Chartreuse, is a fortress that was founded for the defense of the Belgian city of Liège. It was built by the Dutch in Mont-Cornillon in 1817 and came in the hands of the Belgians in 1830 after the Belgian Revolution.
Nowadays, it has been abandoned for many years and is decaying, which creates beautiful images.
Since a few years I visit and photograph abandoned and decayed buildings in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. This is also called urbex or urban exploration.
