About "Caught in the Rat Race"

About the artwork

This powerful and confrontational work features two hands tied together with rope, while a computer mouse dangles between their wrists. The symbolism is direct and sharp: we are bound by technology that was once meant to set us free. The background, an explosion of shades of purple, blue and pink, exudes both energy and restlessness - the digital world constantly demanding our attention.

The inspiration for this work comes from the modern form of slavery that many recognise: the endless rat race of emails, deadlines and screens. The artist asks the question: who controls whom anymore? The human behind the machine, or the machine behind the human?

The atmosphere is raw, urgent and reflective. The black hands with gold accents refer to strength, dignity and the desire to break free. Here, the mouse - an everyday object - turns into a symbol of bondage.

This work is made with acrylic paint and metallic lines, which gives it a tangible intensity. In an interior, it immediately attracts attention and invites conversation. Ideal for spaces where awareness, reflection and debate are welcome.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
