About the artwork

This is the first (and, for now, the only) work in my webshop that was created with the help of AI, artificial intelligence.

It is a 36-panel piece dedicated to things I have some affinity with: cats, guitars and beer. And I'm sure there are many people who like at least one or two of these subjects and maybe even all three.

I asked several AI bots for "a painting in art nouveau style, with two cats, bottles and glasses of beer, and a guitar". And before I knew it, I had about a hundred such paintings.

By no means did they all fully comply with the set programme of requirements. Sometimes the beer was missing, sometimes the guitar, sometimes there were indeed two cats but occasionally three or only one.

And the term art nouveau was interpreted quite broadly by the bots. Nevertheless, the whole collection has a nice fin de siecle look and feel.

After a long and painful selection process, the most beautiful works of art remained. I carefully arranged them to create a balanced whole. Not all the white cats in the bottom left corner...

Thus, this work is a fine example of cooperation between man and machine. The idea originated from a human brain, the heavy work was done by computers and the selection and ranking was again human work.

But the most important question is of course: did it turn out to be a beautiful or fun work of art? I personally think so, but everyone is free to think otherwise. Just like any other work of art, by the way.
