In the old heart of Piran, a charming coastal town on the Slovenian Adriatic, I looked up and saw this scene: a black and white cat, nonchalantly posing in an open window of a weathered stone house. The wooden shutters, full of character and traces of time, stood invitingly open, while the pastel tones of the wall contrasted softly with the green of the cypresses and shrubs in the foreground. The scene breathed pure Mediterranean tranquillity - as if time passes more slowly here.
The photo captures that casual, almost cinematic feel you only find in the narrow streets of southern European towns. The light is soft and warm, the colours earthy: beige, wood-brown, green and a hint of orange from the cloths under the window. And then that cat - curious, proud, yet full of calm dignity - as if guarding the soul of the house.
This work brings a touch of Mediterranean ambience into the home. It fits beautifully in warm interiors, bohemian living rooms or bright, natural spaces where peace and character come together. Even in a workplace or kitchen, this sculpture can evoke a sense of simplicity and authenticity.
A perfect artwork for cat lovers, travellers, and anyone who loves old European towns and the charm of everyday life. "Cat in the window " is not just a picture, but a small window into the Mediterranean soul of Slovenia.
