This is the medieval Castle of Castelnaud, located in Castelnaud-La-Chapelle in the French Dordogne. The castle played a role in the crusade against the Cathars, and the Hundred Years' War with England. After the Middle Ages the castle was slowly abandoned and from the French Revolution it became a ruin. Now there's a museum in there. The riverbank in the foreground is that of the Dordogne.
