About "Castle Stalker"

About the artwork

During my trip to the highlands in Scotland, we made a stop at Castle Stalker at the end of the day - a special location with a dream sunset! The castle is located on an island and was therefore inaccessible. From a distance, we could watch and capture the romantic setting. The golden light over the water, the historic castle on an island and the beautiful mountains in the background made the sight ethereal. The image that immediately came to mind was the story of an unattainable love. A woman coming to the water at sunset, longing for a love she cannot reach. This inspired me to capture in a self-portrait. It represents the unattainable loves and desires we have in our lives. The water between the woman and the castle symbolises unattainability. The golden light symbolises our deepest desires. The woman stands strong and patient. She symbolises trust. Mieke creates self-portraits in romantic and mystical settings. With her work, she tickles the imagination and desires in you. Mieke's work is suitable if you want a magical or mystical atmosphere in your living or working space. Her self-portraits are suitable for at home on the wall, at the office and (spiritual) practices. Mieke also offers a diversity of nature photographs. Mysterious forests, winter landscapes, magical sunbeams and mystical flowers.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
