About ‘Carnival in Venice’ by Petra Köhler

The carnival belongs to Venice, like the lagoon, like the Grand Canal, like St. Mark's Square. It has a centuries-old tradition. Today, the city is flooded every year by tens of thousands of tourists to wear such a costume themselves or to admire the costumes of the fine ladies. I myself wear a Venetian costume every year at carnival time. But I have never been to the carnival in Venice. Not because there are too many tourists there. Rather, I know that the local population mostly stays home because their beloved Venice is inundated with people leaving tons of trash behind.

I am a passionate registered nurse for the elderly. In the past I photographed a lot. Today I use the camera almost only on vacation. I lack the time for my hobbies. I like to work with different image editing programs. So I can get also pictures, which did not succeed to me. In this way many a digital work of art is created. And that makes motifs that are photographed by the millions unique.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
