Cargo ships moored at the Parkkade in Rotterdam or in the port of Rotterdam. The port once started in the city and until today the ships are also moored in front of the city.
Cargo ships of all shapes and sizes and from all countries of the world. The coaster outside on the Russian heavy loader ship inside at the quay. A busy piece of quay with even a piece of the Maas Tunnel in sight of the lens.
Anyone who has been to Rotterdam knows this part of the city for sure. Many ships and their crews have moored there and visited the city. The cargoes in the ships waiting to be unloaded. The clouds the ships with their tracks brought me this picture.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
