Cargo ship on the slipway Kingsgate
The Koningspoort slipway is located where the passage used to be from the Maas to the Old Port of Rotterdam. On the day I passed by there was an old barge on the slipway. With the beautiful clouds in the sky above and the Willemsbrug in the background I saw a nice photo in it.
I regularly visit Rotterdam, usually the large ports with their overwhelming ships. But I also like the older barges. And this picture exudes nostalgia. The slope, the old barge and the old crane, it has become a beautiful nostalgic picture.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
