Most likely view of the Leuvehaven to the north. The steps in the foreground were the landing for a ferry until 1849. Two women fetch water in buckets here. In the foreground right in the water is a foot ferry. In the distance the Leuvebrug is visible, near the Schilderstraat. In the foreground right is the entrance to the Scheepmakershaven.
