About the artwork

This botanical illustration shows the sharp buttercup (Ranunculus acris) in full splendour, accompanied by the rare ranunculus bee (Chelostoma florisomne).

In subtle light, against a deep black background, this work of art hovers between science and poetry. The buttercup unfolds its bright yellow petals like a light source in the darkness, while the delicate foliage disintegrates hand-shaped into graceful lobes. A delicate root structure springs up at the base of the stem - the earthy foundation of this heavenly bloom.

The Chelostoma florisomne, with its velvety black body and silvery white hair bands, is captured in flight, attracted to its favourite nectar source. This solitary bee lives almost exclusively on ranunculaceous plants, with a pronounced preference for buttercups. Its specialised lifestyle makes it an important indicator of ecologically healthy grasslands.

In natural calm and precise imagination, this work is an ode to the fragile relationships between plant and insect, evolution and survival.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
