Bulk carrier moored on the buoys and surrounded by barges during unloading. The Waalhaven in Rotterdam South is a nice bustling place. A nice place to see ships in the port of Rotterdam. During this beautiful day, this ship lies nicely in the sun and the shade of the beautiful clouds.
Moored at the buoys the anchors for the bow out. The cranes on deck turned outwards. The large crane alongside takes the last things out of the hold. The inland vessel moored alongside still picks up the last things before the ship leaves. The port of Rotterdam is always in motion in all weathers.
Raw and the port as it is, the people who work there. I like to photograph the images I see there because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always in motion. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
