About ‘Bueren Mountain’ by Nop Briex

The Montagne de Bueren is a street consisting of a staircase with 374 steps in the centre of the Belgian city of Liège. The street connects the Féronstrée et Hors-Château district with Au Péri and the entrance to the citadel of Liège.

The staircase was built between 1875 and 1880 in memory of the 600 Franchimontese who lost their lives in the Battle of Liège in 1468. The name refers to Vincent van Buren, one of the leaders of the battle. The staircase is therefore called the 600 escaliers. Legend has it that the Franchimontese climbed the mountain at this spot, but this is historically inaccurate.

There are two monuments along the Montagne de Bueren: old parts of a fire station and a house with 18th-century elements. I like to go there. Liège is a fascinating city with beautiful views due to its many differences in elevation. I love Liège.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
