Two small children, brother and sister are sitting on a tree stump together in nature reading the newspaper. Maybe they are taking a rest during a long walk with their parents. Maybe they have found the newspaper. Are they looking for the comics?
A collage of different parts in which I used different types of contrast.
The big newspaper is too big for these little kids to hold alone, so they read the news fraternally together.
They themselves are made of newspaper clippings and thus in shades of gray while the background consists of bright flowers.
Fortunately, in addition to often bad news stories, there are also beautiful and fun news stories in the newspaper. I try to emphasize the black and white contrast with the colorful flowers.
As a viewer, think up the story yourself and let yourself be carried away with these two sweet children.
Because of the many details, this work lends itself very well to being printed in large format. Because of the matte color tones this work suits many interiors.
