About ‘Bridge on The River Kwai’ by Quartier William

The Bridge over the River Kwai is the railway bridge built near the Thai town of Kanchanaburi as part of the Death Railway. The bridge was built over the River Khwae Yai (Big Kwai, Khwae in Thai comes close to the ai sound for English speakers) just before it merges with the Khwae Noi (Little Kwai) to form the Mae Klong (Klong River). During the construction of the railway line, many Western POWs lost their lives, including many Dutchmen from the then Dutch East Indies. However, in the construction of the bridge itself, relatively few died (nine). The current bridge is the original; the auxiliary bridge was first built about 200 metres downstream and was a wooden structure used for supplying materials. The current bridge was bombed several times, which can be seen by the sections with rectangular arch structures instead of the original round ones.Wikipedia

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
