A view of the Bridge of Sighs, which can be found in the centre of Venice. This 1600s bridge connects the Doge's Palace with the prison on the right.
The bridge got its name because prisoners could have a quick look at the outside world through the small windows in the bridge before ending up in the cell. Often with a deep sigh!!!
I took this photo on a quiet spring evening, just after the sun had set. The sky is still a beautiful shade of blue, while the lights illuminate the building. because of the slower shutter speed, the water is nicely smooth and the people walking on the on the bridge in the background are out of focus.
All in all, a nice quiet evening shot, of this famous bridge in Venice
