Near 's Hertogenbosch is a small marshy nature reserve 'De Moerputten'. In the middle of this area is an old railway bridge. This bridge was part of 'De Langstraatspoorlijn' nicknamed 'Halvezolenlijntje'.
The railway was intended to transport materials needed for the flourishing shoe industry in De Langstraat (Waalwijk area).
The Moerputten bridge has been converted into a cycle/walking path. The original rails are still there.
The length of the bridge offers the opportunity to show a clear perspective. See how the end of bridge almost meets at 1 point. I chose a black-and-white edit to add a more dramatic effect.
