About ‘Breathing Exercise No. 1’ by ES Creative Studio

Breath Line No. 1: The broad, fluid movements in this work lend the image an open and searching quality. Nothing here is entirely fixed; forms emerge and then recede again. For me, this work touches on an initial awareness of presence, on a beginning that is still fragile and unformed.

The ‘Ademlijn’ series: This series of charcoal works explores the line between life and death as a realm of transition. The focus is not on the definitive end, but on the fragile space in which something is still present and, at the same time, is already beginning to fade away. Within this tension, images emerge that cannot be pinned down, but move between density and emptiness, between gesture and stillness. The language of charcoal makes this movement visible. Dark planes, abrasive lines, fading traces and open zones alternate, together forming a rhythm of appearing and fading. Each work approaches the same theme with a different intensity: sometimes compact and confrontational, sometimes ethereal and airy, sometimes almost physical in its downward or vertical movement.
Together, the twelve works form a series in which the focus is not on explanation, but on experience. They invite us to reflect on what eludes the eye yet remains palpable: the fragile continuity of life, the proximity of loss, and the trace that both leave within us.

Each work in this series stands perfectly well on its own but can also be combined excellently in pairs or as part of a small series.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
