I took this self-portrait in my photo studio and combined it with natural elements and flying birds in post-processing. The processing I used here is called 'double exposure'. This used to be done in the darkroom, nowadays you can recreate it just fine in photoshop :)

Hi! My name is Marije Dijkema and I am a Dutch fine art photographer. I have always drawn a lot of inspiration from fantasy (both literally: my fantasy, and from fantasy films, series and books) and this can be seen a lot in my work.
