I photographed this breakwater in Westkapelle during an overcast day after sunset, i.e. blue hour. I sat down in the breakwater which was possible because the tide had gone out and the water had receded. I sat low to the ground and as a composition I chose to photograph the head side of the breakwater frame-filling with a view through between the head posts, the highest posts of the breakwater. Again, I tried to time the water waves so that they were visible at the beginning of the breakwater where the water continued to extend into the breakwater. The sky saturated with soft colours and clouds completed the image for me. A beautiful memory of beautiful Westkapelle in Zeeland, a powerful image for on the wall !
