On the volcanic island of La Palma, all the beaches are dotted with black boulders. This gives a nice contrast to the white heads of the waves breaking on the boulders. The black lava rocks are nicely polished by the persistent wave action.
I zoomed in on these to create a somewhat more abstract image.
