About "Breakdancing carrot in pan"

About the artwork

This square sculpture shows a round black pan of cast iron containing a carrot. This carrot has been broken into pieces and laid out to resemble a break-dancing puppet. Two arms are made from the foliage stalks and a small piece of foliage serves as hair. The root has not been scraped and has an exterior that is still intact. Note the grooves and hairs. The background is black and the photo was taken from above (bird's eye view). The light comes from the left side.

My inspiration for this photo came from the dancing greens from "meet your greens". They depict greens in all their gracefulness. I chose hard and angular shapes. The carrot is a hard and firm vegetable and easy to break. Breaking the carrot gave me the idea to turn it into a break-dancing carrot. Break is literally break and breakdance is a robotic and acrobatic dance style. The cast iron pan is hard and sturdy and can get super hot when it is on the fire. This heat allows the pan to literally and figuratively make the carrot dance.

This piece would fit perfectly in an (outdoor) kitchen, restaurant, hotel, canteen, dining room, etc.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
