The ship is empty the hull high on the water. The bow with her drawing from her travels. The sun and the shadow over the bow. I saw the ship lying in the harbor during my walk. Moored in front of the offices. I saw a beautiful photo in it. During my port photography I always look for such details.
The ships always have traces of the voyages. a small collision with the quay a ship which comes roughly alongside. The dragging of the anchor chains during the raising of the anchors. Or perhaps pack ice during the voyages to Alaska.
Who knows where the ship has been.
The beautiful colors of fouling rust and damaged paint is a great picture of the ships in port.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
