The Brouwersdam is a place where I can always find peace. Whether it's in the middle of winter or high summer, the quiet days are my preference. The bollard at this causeway is a favorite hangout for seagulls. During high tide, the water splashes over the rocks or even submerges them entirely. This was the perfect moment; the rocks were just becoming visible again, and with a long shutter speed, it looks like a mist is settling over the end of the causeway. I love how long shutter speeds can bring so much tranquility to a photo, creating a wonderfully calming image.
