On the peaceful shores of Diu, India, fishing boats wait at low tide, resting on a carpet of bright green seaweed. Deprived of the water that normally carries them, they seem frozen in a moment of tranquillity. The contrast between their colourful hulls and the verdant hue of the exposed seabed creates a picturesque and unique scene.
Silence reigns, disturbed only by the distant cry of seabirds and the gentle lapping of waves in the distance. This suspended moment reflects the rhythm of the fishermen's lives, marked by the movements of the ocean and the expectations imposed by nature. Diu, known for its Portuguese heritage, unspoilt beaches and peaceful atmosphere, reveals a different face here, where time seems to slow down.
When the tide comes in, these boats will be back on the water, ready for another day at sea. But for now, they offer observers an image of serenity and contemplation, a reminder of the simple, ever-changing beauty of the Indian coastline.
