About the artwork
On the Mediterranean coast in Calpe, blue water meets bright limestone cliffs and green vegetation on the mountainside. I like to hike in the Peñón de Ifach natural park to enjoy the view of the rocky coves and the coastal landscape. On the hiking trail that leads along above the cliffs, you can get a very good bird's eye view of the water surface. I have incorporated the slightly undulating structures of the water surface into this picture. Eroded rock formations frame the coastal scene.
The meditative effect of the flowing, vibrant blue sea water inspires me a lot. So this photo is dedicated to the relaxing ambience on the Costa Blanca and the wonderful colours of the water. It is meant to bring the dreamlike blue tones of the Mediterranean coast, the calming effect of the water and holiday feelings into your four walls.
My photographic work is inspired by long walks along the Mediterranean coast in Spain. I am particularly attracted to the seaside landscapes, characterised by steep cliffs and views of the clear water. Every time I walk in the Peñón de Ifach (Penyal d'Ifac) Natural Park and let my gaze wander into the distance, the clocks seem to tick a little slower. In my opinion, the combination of sea water and rock stands as a symbol of permanent change and beauty in nature.
