HFB is an abandoned steel factory in Belgium that was built in 1962. The site was owned by Cockerill Sambre and was the largest coking plant in the country.
The blast furnace was restarted in 2010, but already a year later Arcelor/Mittal decided to shut down the blast furnaces in the city.
The blast furnace of HFB was finally closed in 2014.
I took this picture in the blast furnace where a little sunlight came in, you can see the sunbeam at the very top!
