What luck when you discover a nest of the black woodpecker. Many days and hours I stood by this hollow tree. Very early in the morning when it was still very cold and my fingers hurt from the cold. But also on sunny days when the young had already hatched. During the first weeks, the parents still dive into the nest to feed the young. But when the young come out and they impatiently wait for father or mother, a great time for a photographer begins. And then one early morning you come back to look and they have all flown out. Father and mother raised four young black woodpeckers. It was a beautiful few weeks, I won't forget that anytime soon. Should you purchase this work, I wish you very much enjoy it.
