A single piece of black plum flan, made from dried plums, rests on a simple tray. The filling is dark and compact, caught under a regular grid of dough. On top, a controlled topping of whipped cream - added, not sprayed on.

This image shows neither abundance nor celebration, but a chosen moment. The flan is cut, the portion measured out. What becomes visible is contrast: heavy and light, dark and white, density and air.
