Black-and-White Gorilla Portrait – Fine Art Wildlife

by ErwinFloor-Photography

What interested me here wasn’t the gorilla’s strength, but rather its gentler side. A gaze that is almost pensive, calm and non-threatening. That was the feeling I wanted to capture — a moment of stillness, rather than action.

This image was created using AI, with the emphasis on a friendly and almost human appearance. Not impressive for its power, but for the tranquillity it contains. That is precisely what makes it interesting to me.

Working in black and white and low light creates focus. The details in the skin and fur remain visible, but nothing distracts from the gaze. The image therefore remains calm, even when you look at it for longer.

In an interior, this photograph feels surprisingly accessible. It not only fits into a modern or minimalist space, but can also work well in a bedroom or even a child’s room, precisely because of its soft and friendly appearance.

For the finish, Dibond (aluminium) provides a calm, matt base. If you want a little more depth and vibrancy, acrylic glass works beautifully, especially with sufficient light. This fine art print is ideal for lovers of wildlife photography and black-and-white photography who are looking for something that exudes not only power but also tranquillity.
