Giotto Bizzarrini designed, among other things, the Ferrari 250 GTO before starting his own company in 1964 after the 'walk out' of the Ferrari staff due to disagreements with the boss. With the 5300GT, Bizzarini proved that he could still build good racing cars, which proved to be first place in its class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965.
