Bird's eye view: the pelican.
Pelicans are a family of waterbirds known for their distinctive appearance, size and behaviour. The family has one genus with eight species.
Pelicans can weigh up to 14 kilograms. They grow up to 1.80 metres long and can have a wingspan of 3 metres. Furthermore, they can live to be around'35 years old.
Pelicans are piscivorous, meaning their diet consists mainly of fish.
