On a cruise from Hamburg to the Caribbean, the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean took seven days. During this time, you have to keep yourself occupied somehow. So I took numerous photos on the deck of the cruise ship Aida. This picture of the binoculars on the railing was also taken during this time. The vast blue sea and blue sky frame…

I worked as a freelance photo designer for 25 years. My focus was on fashion and advertising photography. I am also the author of numerous books and articles in trade magazines.
Before becoming self-employed, I worked in marketing for a large camera manufacturer, where I was in charge of public relations.

I discovered my love of photography during my training as a retoucher. This sparked a desire not only to edit photos, but to take them myself.
