Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

Bicycle tunnel under the river Maas in Rotterdam The Maas Tunnel is the oldest immersed tunnel in the Netherlands. It connects the banks of the Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam. The tunnel comprises four tubes: two for cars, one for cyclists and one for pedestrians. Construction started in 1937 and was completed in 1942, with over 75,000 motor vehicles and a large number of cyclists, moped riders and pedestrians using the tunnel every day. This makes the Maas Tunnel an important link in Rotterdam's road network. There is a speed limit of 50 km/h. The Maastunnel is 3.90 metres high. The overpasses in front of the tunnel, under Maastunnelplein and Droogleever Fortuynplein, are 3.60 metres high. It regularly happens that over-height trucks get themselves stuck under these viaducts. The architects were J.P. van Bruggen and Ad van der Steur.
