Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Beyond the Boundary of Light’ by Filip D´hooghe

A cyclist slowly disappears into a world that seems to have been obliterated by mist. The path is only partially visible thanks to a row of street lamps, whose warm light breaks through the damp air in a diffuse glow. Each lamp forms a small circle of light, whilst the next one gradually fades into the mist. The cyclist’s red rear light is the only distinct splash of colour and immediately catches the eye. The cyclist’s dark silhouette contrasts beautifully with the soft, almost golden light surrounding him. On the left, the bare bushes largely vanish into the darkness, whilst on the right, the vegetation remains only partially visible. The photograph exudes a strong sense of solitude, tranquillity and mystery. At the same time, the vanishing path suggests a story: where has this cyclist come from and where is he going? The mist deliberately leaves much left to the imagination, allowing the viewer to complete the picture.
