About ‘Between surf and eternity’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

The sea has lost the measure of time here. In the long exposure, the Atlantic becomes breath, a quiet, incessant in and out that washes around the craggy rocks like thoughts that return again and again. The volcanic formations off Ponta de São Lourenço rise out of the water like solidified gestures of the earth - rough, angular, unyielding. Reddish-brown and dark layers of rock tell of fire and pressure, of a past in which the island was still in the making.
The surf blurs the boundary between movement and stagnation. What is raging becomes soft; what is hard seems vulnerable for a moment. The water wraps itself mistily around the cliffs, as if it wants to heal the wounds of time without ever closing them completely. Each rock stands alone, and yet they are connected by the currents, by wind and salt, by the slow work of the elements.
Madeira is not a postcard here, but a poem of stone and water. The peninsula seems remote, almost timeless, a place where Europe ends and something primal begins. There is no tranquillity in this stillness, but dignity - the certainty that even the immovable is in flux, and that beauty often arises where resistance meets devotion.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
