The sun sinks slowly into the sea, its last light gliding across the water and kissing the rocks on which Riomaggiore is built. The facades in red, ochre and pink seem to light up for a moment, as if to hold on to the day's farewell. Between the narrow streets the heat of the day still hangs, but below, near the small harbour, the air already breathes the coolness of evening.
The boats lie still on the quay, waiting for a new day, while the rhythm of the waves gently echoes against the stones. The sea, the rocks and the village seem to listen together to the silence that falls after sunset - a silence that is not empty, but full of colour, fragrance and memory.
Here, between rock and horizon, light and shadow merge into a moment that seems as eternal as the sea itself.
