About the artwork

Photo taken in Söderfjärden, a meteor crater valley 10 kilometres south of Vaasa, Finland, where most cranes gather in spring and, as here, in autumn. There is now a thin layer of snow, and this crane is looking for some grain before continuing its journey south.

Here are a few ideas for interior styles in which I think this picture would look good:

Scandinavian interior: Light tones, natural materials and minimalist look. Brings out the sense of calm and simplicity.

Industrial: Raw, dark materials such as concrete, brick and metal. A high-key photo in can create a strong contrast. This makes the photo a real eye-catcher, while the reasonable monochrome palette, with a few shades of colour, fits nicely with the colours and textures of an industrial interior.

Modern minimalism: Clean lines, generally neutral colours and few decorative details. This picture can be a subtle, artistic addition.

Country-chic: In a country interior with light, natural elements such as wood and linen, this high-key photo can add a modern touch. It brings balance between the modern and the warm, country feel.
