The day I was here, apart from a few Cabbage Whites, there were no butterflies to be found, but bees all the more.
The Vlinderhof in Maximapark near Utrecht is a beautiful garden designed by Piet Oudolf and maintained by volunteers.
I was here in early August 2024 to photograph, but also to enjoy the flowers and tranquillity.
The photo shows a bee sucking nectar from Helenium, under an arch of Knotweed (Persicaria amplexicaulis Alba).
