While strolling through the alleyways of Palermo, I discovered this charming old Sicilian woman leaning against the window on the ground floor of the dilapidated house. Her house is located in the heart of the Sicilian capital Palermo, right in the old historic quarter, near the cathedral. The enchanting Signora Antonella does not know her exact age, but she has lived in her flat, which is located in a narrow side street, since she was born. I have encountered the warm, cordial and open-minded nature of the Sicilian people in various places on this magical island in the south of Italy.
The photo was taken on 21 April 2021 during my Easter trip.
