France's Agnès Sorel (1422 - 1450) was the favourite and most important mistress of Charles VII of France. Agnès arrived at the French court in 1444 and introduced cleavage with bare shoulders. This made her a real trendsetter, as many ladies of standing followed her example. She sometimes 'forgot' to close her top, resulting in nipple gates. The story goes that she preferred to show off her favourite breast.
French painter Jean Fouquet painted a portrait of Agnès around 1454. I used this portrait to express this powerful slogan: don't be a lady, be a legend!
