The Theatine Church of St Kajetan, an impressive sacred building in the high baroque and rococo style, is located on Odeonsplatz in Munich. Its striking yellow façade and the almost 65 metre high twin towers are defining features of the cityscape. The church was built from 1663 in gratitude for the birth of the heir to the throne, Max Emanuel, and the façade was only completed over 100 years later.
