Battersea Power Station is a former coal-fired power station along the Thames near Battersea in London. Due to its location, dimensions and design, it has become a landmark and a monument. The power station consists of two identical, mirrored units built in two phases, but forming a single building. Battersea A Power Station was built in the years 1929-1935, Battersea B Power Station east of it in the years 1945-1955.
