The White-tailed Eagle, Haliaeetus albicilla, is also called the European White-tailed Eagle. In the Netherlands, there are about 8-10 pairs. The bird has a wingspan of 2.20-2.40 meters and feeds mainly on fish that it picks out of the water. Occasionally it will eat smaller game and birds.
