In the dunes of the Zeeland seaside resort of Domburg stands this historic Badpaviljoen.
The Badpaviljoen was commissioned by the Domburgsche Zeebadinrichting in 1888-1889 and designed by architect J.J. van Nieukerken in an exuberant Dutch neo-Renaissance style. The contractor J.J. Hornstra from Bergen op Zoom completed the job for 33,000 guilders. The building replaced a much smaller bathing pavilion that had been built in 1837 and sold for demolition in 1889.
